Here Is How To Find A Cheap Cruise

One of the best choices when it comes to vacations is to take a cruise. There are many reasons that a cruise is so appealing, but the main one still remains that they are so much fun. A cruise combines an exotic locale with the convenience of an all-inclusive price. Choosing a cheap cruise makes it even better.

The first thing you need to do when you decide that it is time to take a cruise is decide on a destination. There are cruises that will take you along the chilly Alaskan coastline or cruises that are designed for people who love the charm of the Caribbean. If you have never been on a cruise deciding where to go can be the most difficult part. If you have small children consider taking a cheap cruise around Florida. This is a great choice because not only will you get to enjoy all the amenities that the cruise ship affords you but you will be stopping to visit some of the most popular theme parks in the world.

Vacations are generally fairly expensive and many families budget all year for that special two week getaway. Finding a cheap cruise can save a substantial amount of money. There is a bit of legwork that is required for finding any type of discount travel deal including cheap cruise packages.

There are several online sites that offer customers the chance to purchase travel deals. This includes airfare, hotel accommodations and cheap cruise packages as well. You can usually find several different cheap cruise offers on these sites. Although it is not a steadfast rule you will find that purchasing a cruise from a travel broker site will cost you considerably less than if you were to go to the cruise lines website.

The time of year that you want to travel will also have an impact on the price. Many people wait until their children are out of school before taking a vacation. Although this certainly helps with studies it can raise the price quite a bit. If you plan on going sometime during the school year you are much more likely to find a cheap cruise deal.

The winter holidays and spring breaks are also times when many people plan on getting away. The problem with this is that many others are also planning on doing exactly the same thing. It is great to plan an escape from the snow and sleet but why not consider taking the cruise in January or February? You are sure to find cheap cruise packages during these times.

Planning any vacation takes some time. A good rule of thumb is to start looking for cheap cruise deals months before your planned departure. You will be able to keep track of when the least expensive times to travel are and you will save yourself a good deal of money that you can save for some fun and memorable souvenirs.

Can you find me a really cheap cruise?
Hi, My grandparents are having there fifty year anniversary next July…
My uncle, aunt, and their two children along with me, my sister, dad, and mom are going to go on a cruise with the to celebrate. None of us are the richest, so we want to find a really cheap cruise to go on.

The cheapest we could find was $589 a person…
    Here are the requierments:

DESTINATION: My grandpa would really like to go to the panama canal, but the Caribean or Bahamas would be fine, to.

DEPARTURE DATE: We would like to leave in July of 2010.

DEPARTURE POINT: My Grandparents live in Florida, so we would like to leave somewhere around there.

TRIP LENGTH: We would like a cruise at least 6 nights, but more than that is fine.

Here are the people going and the rooms they would like:

Grandma and Grandpa: Seniors, 1 firefighter (for discounts). My grandma is claustraphobic so they would like a balcony room.

Uncles Family: Would Like an interior room, 1 firefighter, 2 kids- ages 15 and 12 next July

My family- Would like an interior room, 1 firefighter, 2 kids- age 12 and 14 next June, 1 teacher (for discounts)

We do not care what ship line we go on, cheapest is best! =)

    Thanks so much!!!!!!!!!!
You know what, Heleen K? I didn’t do anything to you. And for your information, it is a family reunion and they INVITED us to go with them, they wouldn’t go without us and they love us. You should be nicer- I didn’t ask you about that, I asked you to find me a cheap cruise which you obviously did not do. Plus, we are not cheap, we just want to save money. It’s obvious that some people have more money then brains. Thank you to everyone else for the help!

I don’t think anyone here gets paid to be a travel agent.

And why is your entire family latching on to your grandparent’s anniversary present? Have a party to "celebrate" and buy the cruise for your grandparents, you cheap bums!

    No class whatsoever!

I just booked a cruise for 21 people for the 7 night Exotic Western Carribean, porting out of Port Canavereal and the best way that I found to do this is to book thru Carnival directly (thru EARLY SAVER PROGRAM) with this program you are assured of the best rate available prior to 2 days before sailing. What I did was booked and paid for the cruise for 3 people and had a rate of 2755.00 (Balcony Room) then every day I would check the rates on Carnivals website, if it is cheaper you fill out a small, 5 question claim form and they will credit your credit card or give you an onboard credit. So far on my room I have an onboard credit for 610.00 and was able to upgrade 3 floors higher. This means that for 3 people in a Blacony Room I only paid 2165.00 with all fees … CHEAP!!!

I am a travel agent, and I briefly looked into this for you. The cruises that offer services for the Panama Canal July 2010 have not published their rates or dates yet, but they should be out soon. However, if you let me know what cruise line you found your intial quote with, I may be able to get you a lower price. e-mail me sboone1119@yahoo.com

I suggest you meet with a travel agent who books a lot of cruises. A travel agent will cost you nothing and be able to help find a cruise that best meets your budget, your preferences, and your expectations. One thing you should absolutely NOT avoid purchasing is trip insurance! Many people take the risk and skip the insurance, and then find that they cannot go and lose their money. If not being able to go is for an "insurable" reason such as illness, your money is returned by the insurer. And by the way — why don’t you all pitch in and pay for your grandparents’ fares?
