Do you get a discount on Disney park tickets if you book a vacation package with Disney?
Just wondering if they are more expensive if you were to buy them at the parks instead of including them in a Disney resort package, like if you were to stay at a hotel off site.
No discount. Same price.
What are the benefits of staying in a Disney Resort in Walt Disney World? Where’s the best place to get deals?
Do you get to stay at the park later? Are there discounts on tickets to the parks? Do you get free parking? I am trying to figure out if it is work it to "stay on park" or to stay at the Holiday Inn that says it is also on the resort? Also where is the best place to book a disney vacation? Should I call AAA or join a Disney Club?
Yes, each day one of the parks either open early or stays open late (for Disney Resort guests only). Check here for more details: http://www.disneymadesimple.com/extra_magic_hours.html
If you buy tickets for multiple days at a time, yes there is a discount.

Parking is free (at Disney Resort Hotels) and there is a small fee if you drive to the Theme Park (about $14/car)

The benefits Disney gives you from staying "on-site" out weigh the price you pay for the hotel (in my opinion). Plus, where else can you find such wonderfully themed and magical hotels!!
I have always purchased my packages directly from Disney World.
I hope you enjoy your Disney vacation!
Need help with planning a Disney world vacation?
I was looking to plan a Disney World vacation for 4 adults and my two girls. By the time we are able to go (around April or May), my girls will be 1 and 3. I was looking to see if anyone had any advice about finding discounted rates, tips or any other advice? I have never been, so any help would be appreciated! Thank you in advance!
Best advice I can truly give is to leave the little ones at home with someone. Even someone as young as 3 is not going to appreciate and remember the Disney experience. I would definitely leave the one year old at home. I find it so funny to see people carrying around their babies through the park. They don’t realize what’s going on and all those strollers really start to get in other’s way. It’ll cause you to miss out on many activities. You’ll spend more time on strollers, stroller parking, diapers, feedings, bathroom breaks, and remember that kids do not have the patience to sit in the lines. I recently went with a 5 year old family member and by the time noon came around, she was already cranky, hot, and needed a nap. I’m a Disney pro as I’ve lived in Florida for 27 years and have visited Disney over 50 times. I want you to have a great time and not trying to discourage you from going, but it’s going to be a real hassle with the kids. Disney is an all day, fast-paced, vacation if you plan to see it all and get your money’s worth. I do agree with other answers that you should consult the Disney.com website for all travel information. If you’re unfamiliar with the Disney area, I would refrain from using travel sites such as hotwire, expedia, ect. With Disney.com, you’ll be able to book your room, tickets, and even restaurant reservations. They’re very organized and will send everything out to you or hold your information at "will-call" to pick up at any of the ticket counters at Disney World. Start your day at all parks very early. Rule of thumb is to be at the park 30 mins to an hour before opening. I see many people make the mistake of sitting down to eat breakfast, taking their time, and making it to the park by 10:00-11:00. By this time, thousands of people have already entered and are filling up the lines. My advice is to be a super early riser and have someone grab some breakfast to bring back to the room, or take granola bars or a piece of fruit into the parks for breakfast. You mention you’re wanting to go in April or May. Avoid Easter and Memorial Day weekends. It will be packed! If you choose to take your 3 year old, she’ll probably enjoy only Magic Kingdom, as the other parks are a little more adult oriented with bigger rides. I know you probably don’t want to hear keep your girls at home, but I’m promising you, it’s going to be tough with them. Wait until they’re a little older to appreciate and remember the experience.

To be honest Disney Vacation can be a bit tricky, experienced people can save hundred to thousand dollars.
You can browse in the internet for the information, but they all scattered and not easy to found.
But I do know great e-book perfectly fits for you. It is written by disney insiders.
If I don’t mistaken the price is about 20 or 30 bucks. The information on this e-book could save a lot of your money. You can refund the book within 60 days if you don’t satisfied.
Good Luck with your vacation
How can I get free or discounted Disney World Tickets and Universal Studio Tickets.?
There is a big group going to Orlando 6 adults and 2 children and we are trying find the cheapest way to get tickets for such a large group. We have rented a beach house in Coco Beach so we will have two vacations Beach/Disney.
Disney never offer discounts & with the world of Harry Potter opening this month at Universal, expect no discounts from them either. Unless you qualify for the Florida Resident Special, the best you can do is the members discount & get them at Triple AAA.
Anyone out there have any advice on dealing with Discount Vacation Rentals Online? I dont want to be scammed.?
Recently planning a vacation to Disney and got linked in with a company called DVRO (Discount Vacation Rentals Online). The place seems really nice and the rep seemed to be for real, I checked with BBB and they had a rating of A- but I am still leary. Anyone out there ever heard of them. They are holding a vacation rental for us in Davenport, Florida. About 12 mins from Disney, called Tuscan Hills. Now that I have given my deposit, I am starting to panic that maybe its a scam. Help!!!
Why don’t you try http://www.alwaysonvacation.com , I generally use it for my family vacation rentals. Here you can get vacation rentals properties at discounted price.
Good Luck!
Can I have a state ID in one state and a driver’s license in another?
I live in Texas and every year we take vacation in Florida where most of my family lives. There are some good discounts for Disney World if you are a Florida resident. Disney requires proof of residency such as driver’s license, state id, college id, or voter card. Is there a way to legally have a state ID and Texas driver’s license, or is this against the law? Just trying to save money on our annual trip.
As of Nov 1 2009 you can no longer hold lic or id’s from two different states. And as the other person said we won’t give you one unless you have FL address (2 proofs), Birth Cert. or valid Passport, and social card.
How much would it cost to bring a family of 4 to Disney World?
My moms good friend has always been their for me and I want to do something nice for them. The mom was raped, but had a lovely child who is now 12 and she adopted another who is now 6. Her mother helps her take care of the kids and she lives with her mom. They are struggling to make it by and they need a vacation.
I want to bring them to Disney World as a Christmas present. I want to give them a 5 night stay at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Cabins and I want to give them tickets so they can go to all 4 theme parks for 4 days. We are Florida residents so we get a discount but I don’t know how much. How much would it cost me to bring all 4 of them to Disney in Spring or Summer 2011?
The age of the kids are 12 and 6.
Thank You!
.
They are Florida Residents too, and Im only paying for the room and the tickets.
Well, those prices are not out yet. However, you can use the vacation builder on Disney’s website to get a price quote. It doesn’t matter if you are a Florida resident, they would have to be residents to get a discount.
So I plugged in 4/11/10-4/16/10 for two adults and two children with the ages you said at Fort Wilderness, and it came back with $3224. Expect an increase for next year.
Seeking Employment at Walt Disney World or Universal Studios?
I’ve been doing some research.
At Walt Disney World, they provide housing (a fully stocked apartment) with all utilities paid for $80 to $110 a week; employee discounts on food and merchandise; free admission to park with an ID; terrific job experience, etc. The only downsides I can see to it are that for full-time employees, you are expected to work anywhere from 30 to 50 hours a week plus some weekends and holidays. Oh and the humidity but they can’t really help that part. lol. And there’s the people… So i guess working at Disney is good for those who like people and don’t have…much of a life.
Universal Studios, on the other hand, doesn’t provide housing. It has insurance and liability, etc. and paid vacations, which the disney site didn’t mention… I can’t seem to find a lot of information on US.
I want to work at WDW really badly, but a chunk of my brain is attempting to convince me of reality. DO they really work you to the bone JUST to provide the guests with ‘the ultimate experience’, or are the employers there people who actually care?
I’m a Christian, so would I have the option of taking Sunday morning off for worship services? I know a lot of good people in Kissimme (spell check?) that could pick me up…
I don’t know. There are several ambiguous issues that aren’t answered on the webpage that bug me.
Info is appreciated.
Being a Brother in Christ, I can suggest that you give this to God in prayer and seek His will for you; He always "comes through" :]
Vacation Rental Villas In Florida
Florida is home for the world famous Disney World, Universal Studios, Sea World etc. and when sunshine throughout the year is added, it makes the perfect vacation spot. To make your vacation memorable, Florida offers the Miami culture embellished with tropical beauty and Southern hospitality. The 800 mile long ocean front acts as the icing on the cake, or is it perhaps the cake itself? Depends on how you view it. But, there can be no denying the fact Florida is paradise on earth for vacation seekers.
Vacation Rentals
It is no wonder that there is a beeline of activity when it comes to Vacation Rentals in and around Florida. Hotels, apartments, condos, chalets, cabins and literally any type of tourist accommodation you can think of is available in Florida. For those who prefer that extra bit of privacy, there are the Florida Vacation rental villas. Homes privately owned by individuals are another option you can consider when you are looking for savings in various incidental expenses necessary in commercial accommodation facilities.
Doing a bit of home work
If you have already planned your Florida vacation, then the first thing to do is a bit of research on the internet. Not just accommodation and the discount offers, but also the vast sea of attractions, the time each of them can consume ( for sure, you can run out of time and not places to visit and enjoy ), discuss the various options available with the members of your family and finally pick your choice. Once this is done, your vacation will be well planned with no hiccups and every member will be able to enjoy the beholding beauty that only Florida can offer. Vacations help you to unwind and gain fresh energy for the grinding days ahead. Planning helps make those vacations hassle free.
