Am I best off booking a holiday to walt disney world, and getting separate tickets to Universal Studios, Im slightly confused!

First, let’s address your confusion. Universal and WDW are different entities altogether, so you’ll need to visit both park’s websites to sort things out (disneyworld.com & universalorlando.com).

Universal is 8 miles from WDW, so if you are planning on visiting both, you will probably need a car.

For example, if I purchased a 4 day Magic Your Way ticket with Park Hopper option and No Expiration option…could I use 2 days and someone else use the other 2 days (another family member who is going later in the year)?

If you don’t purchase no experation the tickets will expire 14 days after first use. Disney has lowered prices so much this year that they had to do this.

These are non-transferrable tickets. If you have been to the parks, oh in about about the past year or so. You will notice that they have introduced a new system. Before entering the parks you must run your tickets through a machine and put your hand on top of a device. This is a biometric device which will scan your hand print. This means that only you can get in with your ticket. The first time you use your ticket it will scan your hand and record that print for your ticket. Then each time after it will scan your hand to make sure that you are the original owner of the ticket.

Usually if you call reservations for almost any airline, you can get a group discount rate.

I need to buy a ticket to go to Orlando, Florida, from New Jersey on Saturday, 2/16 and return either late Sunday night or early Monday Morning. The airfares are very expensive right now so I just can’t do it. I live within 1 hour of two major airports and one regional one. I was wondering if airlines will slash prices of a ticket within a few hours of a flight to fill the plane if it is empty? I have the flexibility to fly any time that day. Any websites? Thanks!

Depending on how many seats are available, discounts are available right up to departure. However, keep in mind that airlines will keep a block of seats for day of travel purchase at a much higher rate.If there are extra seats beyond that block, then they will be discounted.

Cabin Crew can fly standby on a non-rev basis when they are not working. They must dress appropriatly and can take immediate family members with them.

Our next vacation to Walt Disney World is in July for 10 days and 11 nights. We’re on the Platinum Plan and all recreation and tours are included in the package. I know there’s all kinds of recreation and stuff to do at Walt Disney World besides just going to the theme parks. There’s golf, mini golf, boat rentals, bike rentals, horseback riding, carriage/wagon rides, etc. What else do you like to do during your vacation? What’s been fun, what would you recommend or not recommend? Have you done any of the different tours at the theme parks? Any shops you love to go to while at the parks or resorts? Any restaurants or kiosks you always go to, maybe for a specific item?

I want any suggestions of things to do and things to try within Walt Disney World, not off property.

I’m only 19, so any place that requires you to be 21 is out of the question, I guess. And I don’t plan on leaving Disney property because I’m on the Platinum Plan and I’m only going to be there fro 11 days. It takes me minimum of two weeks to do everything I want, and I didn’t spend $15,000 on our Disney Package to spend more money outside of Disney.
Yep, love Downtown Disney. I already know I’m going to be there at least one whole day. We’re having lunch at Bongos Cuban Cafe and dinner at Fulton’s Crab House, most likely, and then we’re going to see Cirque Du Soleil: La Nouba. We’re going to the Rainforest Cafe at the Animal Kingdom Park.

Anybody actually do any of the recreational activities?

I have to say of all the post I read or the replys that are posted, you obviously are the best source of knowledge on WDW.

Now saying that, and we have only been there 3 times and we always find new things that we missed before. Plus the new features that they are alway coming up with.

I always say I appreciate it more after we leave to come home and I have a chance to reflect on the great time we had.

It may take away a little bit of the mystery and fantasy but my suggestion to you is grab the back lot tours and really see how it all come together.

From what you posted I think you would be what Walt himself had in mind as the people to maintain and carry on his dreams.

Where cani find a walt disney world package which has plane tickets? i have checked the website and i don’t think they include plabne tickets!

it is a 4 night package and it is in a moderate resort. ive never paid for a disney world vacation before so idk what to compare this to. how much did you pay for a disney vacation?

Totally depends on what all is included for that price. Check out Tripadvisor.com a free site, type Orlando in the search box and check the forum there for hints on the best deals and things to do. good luck.

I purchased my 5 day tickets for Walt Disney World separately from booking my reservation at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort. Last time we were there I liked the fact that my tickets were loaded on my room key. Will I be able to put my tickets on my room key or will I just have to use two different cards? Thanks!

I was there in July 08′ and I had done the same thing, We stayed at the Wilderness lodge and they told us at the Hotel they would not do that. They said the process takes to long and now only Guest Relations does it at the parks? So we had two different cards our whole stay in July.

there will be 7 of us wanted to take a vacation to Oahu Hawaii i want something cheap with the whole package ticket, hotel and car.Where i"m checking their expensive for each person.

There is no secret, magic website with the "cheapest" airfares. You have to do the research, and be as flexible as possible regarding travel dates.

Check the travel sites (airgorilla, expedia, priceline, travelocity, etc.) and also check the airline websites. I have often (not always, but often) found the best fares on the airline websites. Remember to check airlines like JetBlue and Southwest that do not use the travel sites. They don’t fly to Hawaii, but you MAY be able to use them to get to LAX or SFO at a discount.

Seven people MAY be enough to qualify for a group fare, but you have to call the airline (talk to a human) or use a real travel agent. Again, be as flexible as possible regarding travel dates.

Also check with the "Vacations" options for the airlines, and for the hotel you plan to use. Someties you can get the hotel for only a bit more than the airfare (or get the airfare at a big discoutn via the hotel).
